Onebox Appointed Technological Partner for Ticket Sales for the 2023 Solheim Cup
Onebox, a Spanish service and technology company, has been appointed to direct the ticket sales for the 2023 Solheim Cup, which will be held for the first time on Spanish soil at Finca Cortesín (Andalusia, Costa del Sol). Tickets for the event in which the United States and Europe will face-off again in 2023 are already available for tour operators and will be launched on https://www.solheimcup2023.eu for the general public at the end of August 2021.
Given the magnitude of this competition, declared as an Event of Exceptional Public Interest by the Government of Spain, the organisers have found in Onebox a technological partner that offers solvency, security and quality both to the public and tour operators.
Founded in 2010 with its headquarters in Barcelona and more than 35 million tickets managed, it´s a company with one of the strongest positions in the ticket sector.
Onebox works in a flexible, modern and safe manner that offers the organizers total control, which, as a result, allows the public to attend their events thanks to an easy and efficient experience. It offers, in addition, the largest network of integrated distribution channels, which allows the distribution of its product through various platforms of different sectors, hence, exponentially amplifying the potential they can reach within the public, which subsequently increases their sales.
Onebox is the system used by the most important clients that work in the leisure and entertainment sector but especially in the sports sector where it has developed long-term relationships with many of the most important organizations in the market, like the Liga de Fútbol Profesional (through agreements with Real Madrid, Atlético de Madrid, Valencia CF, Athletic de Bilbao o Sevilla, to name a few), the Real Federación Española de Fútbol, the Mutua Madrid Open, the Davis Cup, the ACB, the Euroliga or the Circuits of Barcelona or Valencia, as well as others. The collaboration between Onebox and the 2023 Solheim Cup is one step forward for Onebox towards leadership in this sector of top clients and sporting events.
“Being an exclusive partner of the Solheim Cup 2023, a sporting event so important and of international prominence, is an honour for Onebox and a confirmation of our hard work and developing strength in the ticketing sector and especially in the sporting sector”, explains Carlos Gali, CEO and founder of Onebox. “Additionally, it allows us to expand our collaboration in the development of ticketing in the golf sector, which we started with the European Tour tournaments hosted in Valderrama and Madrid. We are certain that it will be an organizational success and great for the public, and we are very pleased to be a part of the 2023 Solheim Cup”.
“It is an honour to be a partner for the 2023 Solheim Cup with a Spanish company that has reached a predominant position in such a competitive market like technology. The support of a safe, efficient, and avant-garde company like Onebox is indispensable in a time of great and vertiginous innovations. We would like that all who wish to accompany us to Finca Cortesín in 2023 can do so securely and in a simple way, and those are the base principles of Onebox, for both golf enthusiasts and tour operators, as well as major customers,” states Íñigo Aramburu, Managing Director of Deporte and Business.
The 2023 Solheim Cup, hosted at Finca Cortesín, is sponsored by PING, Costa del Sol and Rolex as Global Partners; and by AndalucÍa, Acosol, the local council of Marbella and the local council of Benahavís as Official Partners.
