MST Golf Appointed TaylorMade Regional Distributor for Malaysia, Singapore & Indonesia
MST Golf, the leading golf retailer in the South East Asian region, was recently appointed TaylorMade Golf’s distributor for Indonesia. This comes in addition to MST Golf presently holding TaylorMade’s exclusive distribution rights in Malaysia and Singapore.
With the appointment of MST Golf as the regional distributor of TaylorMade Golf covering three key markets within the SEA region, it brings several advantages for the brand, retailers and most importantly, the consumers. MST Golf’s goal for TaylorMade in all three markets is to execute consistent brand positioning, smooth and efficient product roll-out in retail stores and achieve clear & consistent marketing communication as well as pricing for consumers.
This positive news comes as a sign of strength for MST Golf, especially after the golf industry’s unexpected positive turn worldwide amid COVID 19 pandemic in 2020.
In January 2021, MST Golf hosted an online Virtual Product Launch to introduce TaylorMade’s 2021 line-up of products highlighted by the highly anticipated TaylorMade SIM2 family. It was attended by key retailers from Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. The retailers were briefed by TaylorMade’s Product Leadership team, led by Mr Brian Bazzel – VP Global Product on all the features and benefits resulting from the technology advancements that come with the new products to help them better prepare themselves to provide the full TaylorMade experience when serving their customers.
“Coming off a very successful launch of the TaylorMade SIM franchise last year along with a strong momentum going into this year, I am very excited with this year’s many new products, especially the SIM2. I cannot wait for consumers to get it into their hands and start playing and enjoying it,” said Ng Yap, Chief Executive of MST Golf during the launch.
Along with this news, MST Golf welcomed Timothy Yoong on their team to oversee the TaylorMade brand in both Singapore and Indonesia. Timothy is highly regarded as a golf industry “veteran” with vast experience, especially in regional distribution from his time as a Regional Brand Manager covering SE Asia & Greater China for another major golfing brand previously.
