Early Morning Blaze Destroys Buggy Station at Kota Seriemas G&CC
An early morning fire engulfed Kota Seriemas Golf & Country Club’s buggy station in Nilai destroying some 120 buggies. The blaze is said to start around 2 a.m. Thursday morning. An explosion was heard from the basement alerting the security guard who quickly called BOMBA.
It too several firemen from the Nilai, Mantin and Seremban 2 stations to finally put out the fire by 3.30 a.m. As the buggy station was located at the lower floor of the clubhouse, the ceiling and walls of the Golfer’s Terrace are now covered with black smoke debris.
BOMBA has cordoned off certain areas of the clubhouse and is investigating the cause of the fire and the losses. The club management will prepare a full report based on the report from BOMBA.
