The MercedesTrophy is back and will be celebrating its 30th year with the first qualifying round at the Penang Golf Club on 13 March 2020.

The Mercedes-Benz involvement in golf is deep-rooted, dating back to 1991 when MercedesTrophy was first introduced and it has now established itself as an event which takes place in every continent. To date, over a million Mercedes-Benz customers and fans have teed off at the MercedesTrophy.

The tournament will feature four categories including Category A for golfers with handicaps of 0-12, Category B (handicaps 13-20), Category C (handicaps 21-24) and the women’s Category D (handicaps 0-36). The women’s category will only be at the fourth qualifying round at The Mines.

In testament to the overwhelming response received from our nationwide qualifying rounds held last year, this year’s competition will be played again in five qualifying rounds whereby the top five winners of each round will then meet for the National Final, which will be held at Saujana Golf & Country Club, Subang on 23 June.

The top two winners in each of the three handicap categories for the men and one winner of the Ladies’ Category will then qualify for the MercedesTrophy Regional Final Asia, with an all-expenses paid trip in August 2020. One Malaysian will then be selected to be part of the Asian team in the MercedesTrophy World Finals in Stuttgart, Germany – the birthplace of the automobile and Mercedes-Benz Headquarters in October 2020.

The first player to achieve a Hole-In-One on any of the two designated par-3 holes at each venue will win the all-new Mercedes-Benz E 200 SPORTSTYLE Avantgarde worth RM329,888. Other prizes include Mercedes-Benz exclusive merchandises and other novelty prizes from the marketing partners for MercedesTrophy which include Mercedes-Benz Services Malaysia, Crestlink, EPOS, The Edge, Taylormade, The Saujana Hotel, Carlsberg, and Kinslager.

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia invites all Mercedes-Benz owners who purchased a vehicle from all authorised dealer to give their best and be part of the MercedesTrophy worldwide. To take part in the competition, kindly log on to www.mercedes-benz.com.my/mercedestrophy.
