All players also participated in the unique and fun OMEGA Box Challenge which put golfers’ chipping skills into test during luncheon, and it was followed by a prize presentation ceremony which concluded the tournament. The golfers enjoy various OMEGA hospitality provided throughout the tournament.

The momentous afternoon also presented guests the opportunity to discover Omega’s iconic watches and the exciting partnership in golf throughout the years. With stunning displays of the watches as well as the main highlight – the Seamaster Aqua Terra “Golf” collection, guests were given an exclusive look at the brand’s latest golf collection.

The Seamaster Aqua Terra “Golf“ collection features horizontal teak pattern dials and NATO straps to keep the watch firmly on the wrist through the biggest swings. There are two eye-catching dial/strap combinations to choose from: a sun-brushed black dial matched with green and black striped NATO strap; and a silvery dial matched with black and orange striped NATO strap. Both have symmetrical cases crafted from stainless steel and a wave-edged design on the case back. Other common features include a date window at 6 o’clock and hands and indexes filled with white Super-LumiNova. On each watch, the 15, 30, 45 and 60 on the minute track matches the colour of the strap attached, as does the seconds hand and Seamaster logo. Powered by the OMEGA Master Chronometer calibre 8900, both watches are certified at the industry’s highest level by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS).

As a world leader in sports timekeeping, OMEGA has long been active in its support of golf as an international sport. OMEGA’s support for golf is truly global, with four timekeeping roles in the United States and three title sponsorships: two unique events in the Middle East and of course, the OMEGA Masters, the longest-running golf tournament in Europe. OMEGA’s roster of ambassadors is impressive, with Rory McIlroy, Sergio Garcia, Tommy Fleetwood and Michelle Wie already flying the brand’s flag on the world’s best golf courses.

As both Official Timekeeper of the Olympic Games and passionate supporter of golf, OMEGA was doubly thrilled to see the game return to the event at Rio 2016, after an absence of more than 100 years. OMEGA looks forward to more fairway action at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.
