IJGA Begins Monthly Leadership Workshops

International Junior Golf Academy (IJGA) has teamed up with the Growing Leaders team to teach students how to become better leaders and involve them in the Habitudes program. Habitudes combines images, relatable stories, and experiences into leadership lesson plans that resonate with today’s young athletes.

In January, IJGA students and staff met in the new performance training facility at Old Carolina and listened to guest speakers who encouraged them to dream big and work hard to become better leaders. This workshop opened the door to what Habitudes means and how to utilize the leadership skills that will be presented to them in the future.

Throughout the rest of the semester, students and staff will meet to touch on more Habitudes qualities, one at a time, and focus on how that particular skill will help them become better leaders.

At IJGA, leadership is incredibly valuable and important. This semester, several students have started meeting every Wednesday to talk about what concerns matter most to them and how they can solve them. The Habitudes program is encouraging students to step up and become leaders in school, life, and their future careers.

The International Junior Golf Academy (IJGA) was founded in 1995 in Hilton Head, South Carolina, and is the partner academy of Bishops Gate Golf Academy (BGGA) in Howey in the Hills, Florida. IJGA is the premier destination for middle and high school golfers as well as graduates seeking a competitive advantage amongst their peers. IJGA’s unique programs deliver fact-based golf training, tour competition, performance training, character building and an elite college preparatory education – in a close, family environment in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
