The preview featured about 70% of the actual buffet which begins May 11 and ends June 1.  While guests were hosted at the Permai Lounge which incidentally also made its official debut the same day, the buffet proper will be laid out at the club’s Poolside Pavilion.

Having just recently celebrated its 20th anniversary in November of last year, the club’s management decided to bring about some much-needed changes in accordance with their mission towards elevating the existing products and services.

One of these changes was to the entire F&B operations, now taken up by HNF Catering Sdn Bhd. which has been in business since 2001. The company has extensive experience in F&B operations in club settings, plus expertise in banqueting and large quantity outdoor catering.

Armed with the club’s own experienced team plus HNF’s crew of experts, KPGCC’s F&B has been given a breath of fresh air, evident in the one-month that the latter has begun operations garnering positive feedback from both members and guests alike.

“This is a major reason why we organized this preview – to make it known that we have embarked on a brand-new gastronomic adventure and that it’s going to be a good one,” said Tang Meng Loon, Director of Club, Township & Property Management during his welcome speech.

“We are confident that our Ramadhan spread this year will be fantastic – not only because we have sampled it ourselves, but because we actively chose to improve our service standards as always and we know exactly what patrons are looking for.”

While the buffet spread carried traditional items such as chicken and beef rendang, ayam masak merah, mutton masalaudang sambal petai, ikan masak lemak cili padi, sotong paprik, pajeri nenas, ulam-ulam, gado-gado, assortedkerabuand more, it was the ‘live’ cooking stalls that stole the show.

The signature lamb (kambing panggang) plus other roasted and grilled items such as the ikan bakar and roasted chicken were a hit, in addition to other stalls that presented timeless favourites such as mee kari, assam laksa, nasi impit, lemang, chicken and beef sataycucur udang, murtabak and more.
