TPC Kuala Lumpur’s East and West Courses took the number one and two spots respectively for the Best Courses in Malaysia by globally acclaimed Golf Digest International.

Adding more feathers in its cap, TPC Kuala Lumpur ascended the Top 100 Platinum Golf and Country Clubs of the World from 88th  to  82nd place. This 5-Star Platinum Club status is the pinnacle recognition for private clubs around the world.

“Securing a position in the Golf Digest International’s Best Courses in Malaysia and Top 100 Platinum Golf and Country Club are incredible achievements for the club. Being a top club means consistently providing the best in facilities and services to our members and guests,” said Steven Thielke, Chief Executive Officer of TPC Kuala Lumpur.

“The recent enhancements within TPC Kuala Lumpur have been the West Course renovation, practice area expansion, upgrade of buggies and resurfacing of the driving range. More up-coming developments are being planned in phases, so stay tuned,” he added.

Graced by LPGA players and home to the Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia tournament from 2010 to 2017, the East Course had witnessed proud moments of top international players such as Jessica Korda, Lexi Thompson, Christie Kerr, Shanshan Feng and Inbee Park over the years.

The East Couse also fondly known as the “Grand Old Lady” features impeccable fairways and greens with beautiful vibrant coloured landscaping. This Par 71 course that measures 5713 metres is undoubtedly a golfer’s paradise and the perfect sanctuary to provide a habitat to the numerous forms of flora and fauna within the area. The East Course originally opened in 1991 but underwent a renovation in 2008 before reopening its doors in 2010.

Meanwhile, the more challenging Par 72 West Course that measures 6405 metres had undergone two renovations in 2007 and again in 2017; and reopened in August 2018. The West Course has a long track record of having hosted international tournaments between 2006 and 2018 including the Maybank Malaysian Open and the CIMB Classic. Throughout the years, the West Course has won multiple international awards and is still very much a formidable name in the golfing world.
