Odyssey Reveals The New Must-Have Putters!

Callaway Golf Malaysia recently announced the latest putters from Odyssey, the O-Works series of line extensions as well as the latest Toe Up i and Stroke Lab i putters.  Available at all retailers starting 5th April, 2018.

The O-Works Red & Black

The new O-Works putters with the revolutionary Microhinge Insert Technology have created a new way to roll, and they will change how golfers look at putting forever.

Odyssey has set the standard for insert innovation since the legendary White Hot, and now, has reached an unprecedented level of performance with the Microhinge Insert. Its R&D department focused on the effect of the insert and getting the ball into a better roll at impact.

The Microhinge technology provides incredible gains in topspin and roll at impact regardless of the stroke. The stainless steel Microhinge plate is co-moulded into the Thermoplastic Elastomer Feel layer, providing great feel and getting the ball into a better roll at impact.

When it comes to design of the putters, the Odyssey R&D team is always constantly working on prototype designs with Tour players. They rely heavily on detailed player feedback at every stage from the earliest prototypes to the final retail product and these feedbacks must meet Odyssey’s incredibly high standards.

And in this case, a number of Odyssey’s Tour staffers had requested them to build either a red or black head shape with a clean, simple look at address, and both of these (Red & Black) finishes have been popular on Tour. In player testing, they found that their staffers really liked the head colors and putted well with them. Based on experience, they have seen that if a putter setup helps Tour players, it can certainly help regular golfers too, and that’s how O-Works Red and Black evolved.

Based on the first release of the Odyssey O-Works Red and Black models, they have dominated Tour events and major championships. Being one of the top choices by professionals, they are constantly working to develop and tweak shapes for ultimate performance and the new mallets with toe hang are all designed for players who like to feel the face of their putter rotate more in their stroke.

To sum it up, the O-Works Red and O-Works Black are the result of working extensively with the world’s best players to combine a clean look with quicker roll from our Microhinge Face Insert to help you make more putts.

The O-Works Red and Black new line extension all with the Microhinge Insert has four new head shapes:

The Marxman and Marxman S – a progressive mallet design with perimeter weighting and Marxman Hi-Def alignment.

The Jailbird Mini and Mini S putter, which is a face-balanced mallet with a high MOI.

The ever-popular 2-ball design has also been revolutionised, the 2-Ball Fang and 2-Ball Fang S putters is a mallet design with perimeter-weighted fangs.

The #1 Wide S putter is a compact heel-toe weighted blade with a wide flange and S-neck hosel.

On top of the O-Works Red and Black, there will be also five new head shapes to the O-Works JV line extension from the Japan Domestic Market (JDM) that will be made available here in Malaysia – #1WCS, #1SH, #5, #5CS and the 2-Ball Blade putters models.

The Stroke Lab i Putter

The Stroke Lab putter was developed to enhance the consistency in putting through the series of movement in stroke. Callaway engineers have analysed every golfer’s stroke type, tempo as well as head path and analysed the results, hence born from this research is the “Stroke Lab” putter. This putter was an introduction of a new concept in improving the accuracy of stroke in all heads, shafts, and grips in this model.

The latest Odyssey Stroke Lab i putter is the new improved version of the Stroke Lab putter with the revolutionary Microhinge Insert Technology. It generates stable tempo and stroke and is designed with high Moment of Inertia (MOI). Compared with other ordinary Odyssey putters, the putter head is heavier with an approximate increase of fifteen grams. It also now comes with a lighter shaft that had been reduced by twenty-nine grams and fitted with the newest grip that had been increased in weight by eighteen grams and with Counter balance weight. The putter is available in six different types of head design with 33″ and 34″ shaft length available.
