Callaway Goes Rogue

The ROGUE Driver

The Rogue Driver features a series of technologies that work together to promote faster ball speed from the combination of the new Jailbreak Technology and X-Face VFT (Variable Face Thickness) technology, which supports each other in an especially critical way.

Callaway took the revolutionary Jailbreak technology that made Epic the #1 selling driver in 2017 and supercharged it. Rogue employs improved Jailbreak Technology with new, hourglass-shaped titanium bars that are 25% lighter while fulfilling their function to stiffen the crown and sole. The stiffer body allows the face to take on more impact-load to promote faster ball speed and makes possible our new X-Face VFT face architecture, which promotes faster ball speed across an expansive area of the face.

Together, Jailbreak and X-Face VFT work together to create what Callaway calls the Jailbreak Effect, which promotes a remarkable boost in ball speed and distance.

Callaway is the leader at using carbon composite materials to enhance metalwood performance. Our proprietary triaxial carbon composite is extraordinarily light and strong, saving substantial weight. We’ve redistributed that weight into the head’s perimeter to significantly increase MOI (Moment Of Inertia) and forgiveness, which helps preserve distance and direction on off-centre hits. Rogue has the largest triaxial carbon crown of any Callaway driver ever.

Boeing and Callaway collaborated to develop the Speed Step technology used in past Callaway metalwoods. In Rogue, we worked with Boeing to redefine the geometry of the leading edge to improve airflow to promote faster head speed.

Available in three different Rogue driver heads:

Rogue

Rogue Sub-Zero

Rogue Star

Rogue: A new and more forgiving 460cc shape boasts a larger address footprint than Epic, encouraging golfers to relax, cut loose and make a free and fast swing.

Rogue Sub Zero: A powerful, extremely low spinning, Tour-level driver packaged in a more forgiving head shape.

Rogue Star: A model that is only available in the Asia market and for a wider range of golfers. Comes with non-adjustable hosel and it’s a chronic slicer’s dream as it minimizes slice-spin when the face is open at impact.

Premium shaft selection at multiple weights:

Callaway offers a wide range of premium aftermarket shafts – Tour AD IZ-6, Speeder 474 EVOLUTION IV, and Speeder 569 EVOLUTION IV at 40g, 50g, and 60g weights.

The ROGUE Fairway Woods

The Rogue fairway wood is the first fairway wood with Callaway’s Jailbreak ball-speed-enhancing technology. Callaway R&D has successfully installed our ground breaking Jailbreak Technology in a fairway wood for the first time, with two steel Jailbreak bars that stiffen the body, placing more impact load on the face to promote increased ball speed and distance.

The ultra-thin, Carpenter 455 steel face is extremely fast by itself. Jailbreak Technology makes it faster. Face Cup’s renowned cup-like architecture, especially the rim around the face’s perimeter also promotes more speed, on both centre and off-centre hits. The combined effect of these three technologies is meant to help golfers achieve fast ball speed and long distance on both centre-face hits and off-centre hits.

Rogue fairways also incorporate Callaway’s proprietary Internal Standing Wave  (ISW) technology, which Callaway pioneered in the irons to position the CG with tremendous precision. In Rogue fairway woods, ISW positions the CG low and forward to promote a distance-enhancing combination of high-launch and low-spin. Callaway had also refined the size, shape, and position of the Speed Step to promote better airflow and more club speed.

The Rogue Star fairway woods are available in multiple premium shafts and weights – 40g and 50g. Lofts include 3 / 15°, 5 /18°, 7 / 21° and 9 / 23°.

The ROGUE Hybrids

The synergy of Jailbreak and Face Cup technology makes this Callaway’s most powerful hybrid ever. Callaway R&D has successfully installed its ground breaking Jailbreak Technology in a hybrid for the first time, with two steel Jailbreak bars that stiffen the body, placing more impact load on the face to promote ball speed and distance.

The ultra-thin, Carpenter 455 steel face is extremely fast. And Jailbreak technology makes it faster. Combined with Callaway’s industry-leading Hyper Speed Face Cup that maintains speed across the face, Rogue creates fast ball speed and long distance on centre hits and off-centre hits.

Callaway’s proprietary Internal Standing Wave is able to locate the CG with tremendous precision. The Internal Standing Wave positions the CG lower and forward to promote easy launch and the maximised MOI design for more forgiveness.

The ROGUE Irons

Rogue

Rogue Star

The Rogue Irons are the best combination of distance, accuracy, and playability ever in a Callaway iron with its 360 Face Cup and VFT, multi-material construction, and Urethane Microspheres.

Rogue irons combine Callaway’s renowned 360 Face Cup technology with Variable Face Thickness (VFT) technology to expand the portion of the face that delivers fast ball speed. Face Cup employs a shallow, flexible rim around the perimeter of the face that flexes and releases at impact to increase ball speed. VFT also influences how the face itself flexes to promote more ball speed on off-centre hits. The combination of these two technologies promotes ball speed and distance.

Tungsten Weighting enables the position the CG in each of the long irons with extraordinary precision, promoting optimum launch and control at each individual loft. The tungsten, twice as heavy as steel, concentrates significant weight into a small space in the form of an intricately shaped part, which is key to precisely controlling CG location.

The upside of a thin clubface is faster ball speed and more distance, the downside is excessive vibration that generates an unpleasant sound and feels. Urethane can be used to dampen vibration to improve sound and feel, but it can also greatly reduce the face’s ability to flex, lowering Coefficient of Restitution (COR) and ball speed. Callaway’s elastic-urethane microspheres provide the sound and feel benefits of urethane without compromising COR or ball speed.

The Rogue Irons are available in two models:

Rogue: A unique shape that’s long and slender with a standard head size. Comes with semi stronger loft and standard length. It has well balanced optimum distance and high trajectory.

Rogue Star: A unique shape that is similar to the standard Rogue however with an oversized head and a wider sole width with deeper CG. Comes with stronger loft and longer length and focuses on longer distance performance.
