Meru Valley EcoVillage Named Finalist in Search for Best Northern Development

Meru Valley EcoVillage

Ipoh’s Meru Valley EcoVillage has been chosen as a finalist for Best Northern Development in the search for the Best Northern Development at the annual iProperty Development Excellence Awards (IDEA) 2018 organized by Malaysia. In its 2nd year, IDEA raises the national spotlight on the property industry’s most accomplished.

Set ten minutes outside of Ipoh city centre, Meru Valley EcoVillage is pitched as a true haven of well-being and set in the heart of thriving Meru Valley’s championship golf course. The development features a mix of 34 single storey villas, 48 townhouses and 84 low-level apartments, each with their own green credentials, access to health care, community spaces and the golf resort’s extensive facilities.

All the homes have been designed in keeping with the environment and making life easier. The sustainable-focused village features rainwater harvesting systems that recycle rain for external use; high-level windows that allow natural sunlight and ventilation; and solar heating systems that save energy. Sunscreen louvres and deep roof eaves are used to block the sun, while innovative roof ventilation systems reduce energy costs.

Meru Valley Resort Executive Operations Director Edwin Tan said, “Developments across the northern region continue to set the bar for their high quality and we are pleased that Meru Valley EcoVillage has been shortlisted,”.

The Bayu Villas

“We are proud to showcase Meru Valley EcoVillage, a mixed development that is focused on wellness and that people already call home. The village is built on a philosophy that a place should be designed for everyone with everything you need to live well. “On top of this, we have an excellent partnership with KPJ Ipoh Specialist Hospital and have found informal networks are much more effective than formal organisational structures because everyone has different needs. The multi-skilled Meru Valley EcoVillage team, including a doctor and home nursing team, work together with GPs, nurses, hospitals, physiotherapist and family members.
